Xero Force gets mentioned in a lot of “new Xero features” roundups, so it’s worth a straight answer on what it actually is — and for most of our clients, whether it’s even relevant.

What it is

Xero Force lets businesses build their own custom AI agents on top of Xero’s data — essentially letting a more technical team configure automated processes or assistants tailored to that specific business. It’s part of a broader push toward what Xero calls “Xero OS.”

Why it’s probably not for you yet

This is aimed at larger, more complex businesses with the internal resources (or a dedicated tech partner) to build and manage custom automation — not a typical sole trader, tradie, café or small service business running day-to-day operations through standard Xero. If you’re reading a feature list and wondering whether you’re missing out by not using Xero Force, you almost certainly aren’t.

What’s actually worth your time instead

For most small businesses, the bigger wins are getting the fundamentals right — accurate reconciliations, clean coding, and using the AI features already built into standard Xero (like JAX or Smart Document Capture) well. That’s where we focus our Xero training & optimisation work.

GoBookaroo provides bookkeeping and Xero administrative support only, and is not a registered BAS Agent, Tax Agent or accountant unless stated otherwise.
